Moving a service to a new website
Caption
A clinic owner asked what to do with a service page that already ranks when the service moves to its own website.
The answer is not to delete the old page. Map it to the closest relevant page on the new site, use a permanent redirect, update the internal links and watch Search Console after launch.
One redirect can preserve a path customers already use. A proper URL map protects the rest of the move.
Planning a website or brand split? Check the old URLs before launch, not after.
